Looking up scales by their Forte class
Added 2025-05-27 01:56:33 +0000 UTCYeah another thing. Tonight I was trying to put together a diagram of sets based on source material where everything is expressed in Forte class names. All I needed was to look up a Forte class and find its prime and see what scale that is, in binary.
My Scale Finder tool is not very helpful for that. I do have a database where I could look up such a thing, but it's not very convenient to write SQL queries just to get a scale number. Since it's become something I need for my own work, I'm going to enhance the website and put an index of those Forte classes for easy lookup.
Watch for that in the next few days. I'm highly motivated to get that made since it's screwing with my own progress on something.
