Patrons satisfaction question

I saw many people leaving and not many coming back. Maybe I’m doing something wrong or drawing something that isn’t as attractive? You can tell me what I should draw to keep my audience satisfied.

What should I do? I’m just not sure why people leave, since I work daily…

A lot of my works receive praise and I had many followers, but I don’t think I’m doing good enough from the Patreon perspective comparing it to other artists, who are less active. So maybe it’s something else?

Should I draw differently or draw twice a day? I just hope it's not bad luck, because that would mean my hard work is good for nothing...

(I'm so jealous of other artists who draw what they like and it seems to work out for them monetarily and emotionally haha...)

The belly you draw really sexy

dredi santiago

Random note, I've noticed after upgrading my membership I've lost access to some posts and patreon tells me to downgrade my membership to access the content. The xilonen posts specifically are ones I noticed I lost access to.

Vaine87

I think theres nothing wrong with your art. I like almost everything you post. Hope you're okay 💞

Javier del Nogal

For anyone interested and who didn't see it yet, Qian gave an update on her situation on her twitter/X :3

MischievousKitsu

Anyone with the access to the "Special Patreon chat" from the 35$+ tier has any info they could share? Did she post anything there regarding the recent situation, or any updates since?

MischievousKitsu

Same, sent her a few DM's since she shared on twitter, but no reply or anything thus far. All I would like to know is whether she's even alive. Like, the empathy is takin over, and seeing someone who you've been looking up to for somewhat long struggle so much is really disheartening. But at the same time its understandable she may want to completely isolate from something that was a part of the whole situation.

MischievousKitsu

Yo is she okay now? I'm worried

Avis Pakaya

Personally I love all your art but my favorites are Kafka and Himeko in the bathtub and Topaz and Jade (they are beautiful and joyful works of art). Right now I don't have much money and what I have left I'm spending on other subscriptions which I'm thinking of canceling so I can subscribe to your patreon. You should also sponsor your patreon more on twitter. I didn't know you had one until a few weeks ago. I hope you recover and if you need to, take all the time you need ❤️❤️❤️❤️ .

Illyana Gomez

There's nothing wrong with your art and style; I wouldn't have become a patron if I thought your art wasn't good. I don't think there's anything wrong with what you're doing. If anything, you need to just take some time to relax; the surest way to burn yourself out is to try to churn something out. Take your time, and draw what makes you happy! I don't think any of us are here from a transactional standpoint - we're not buying your time, we're supporting you!

Noelle

I think your works are perfect. I searching 2-3 month for someone, who create such a perfect works in shorts terms. Please, don't stop to joy us our creations!!! 💕💕💕

Babs

I honestly think it's because your artstyle / rendering style changes are still pretty recent, that and you've stepped away from drawing genshin chara with all the drama some peeps might have've hang around then, but are leaving now. That being said I don't believe you need to go back to the more rendered style or anything, it's just you are now catering to a different audience and they need to find you!

sweetbleek

Trust on yourself!Your art and style is very good! And to solve the problem,I think you can try to make more versions to attract people with different interests. For example,u could keep the soft style and add some wild versions in sex.Maybe this can help you!

Doctor, first of all, please take care of yourself and take good care of your body. The day before yesterday, I learned that an illustrator I have followed for a long time passed away from acute heart failure. It was really sudden, as he had been tweeting as usual until a few days ago. I am saddened because I have loved his illustrations for a long time. The other day, I learned on his Twitter that he was hospitalized. I do not want to see any more illustrations by teachers who give me strength. I am an ordinary person, a person without power. However, your illustrations inspire me. I bookmark them without fail, even if they are illustrations of a genre I do not know. I understand a little that you have many problems as a great illustrator, because you have tweeted before. My understanding does not change anything, but never forget that I am a fan of your teacher. Of course, the same goes for many others besides me. Best not to look at the offensive people. For now, please take care of yourself and rest. I will continue to wait for you to update your illustrations. I apologize for the long sentence. I am a fan from Japan.

MX9

It is not your fault. It is not your fault. If you feel useless, I am too. You are not alone. All of us here support you.

trickymindful

Please take care of yourself. You are a beautiful and talented soul. Please speak to people you trust and love. You can make it through this, I know you can. I truly hope for all the best. I know life can feel horrible and unfair at times. But you can do this! Please know people love you and that there are people who would be there for you. I struggle with my own depression and know how hard it can be from my own experience. Without knowing what you have personally gone through, I want you to never forget you’re loved not just as an artist, but as a human being. Please, don’t give up. Never lose hope.

Foursword4

I absolutely love ur art, I'd get something commissioned if I could. I don't think it's ur art it's probably people's financial situations, I've looked at other patreon artists I'm subscribed too and the only difference I can see is a background, a fully clothed one (like alot of detail in the clothes) then they do a lingerie then nude, that seems to get alot of people going because it keeps them waiting on more and they draw the latest characters like rn castorice, aglaea, varesa, zani. But again, genuinely don't think anything is wrong with ur art I absolutely love it.

Pumpkin

Personally, I think that going to a therapist is just making it worse. It is a waste of time (and money) just for someone to tell you that you are depressed (which you maybe already know). Life will get more and more depressing as you continue to compare yourself with others. For what it's worth, you tried to end it all, but clearly, it is not your time yet. It is a good time to take a break and try to remember what made you start drawing in the first place. Doing something you like as a job has its downside because sometimes you will be pressured to do something that you don't like. Stop asking people for what they want, and draw what you want!

eL-ax

please don't let these things bother you, at least not if you aren't struggling with money... unfortunately i don't really have much money to support artists, especially with the way things are in the US.. maybe some of them are also these kind of followers who need to cut back on subscriptions due to how our economy might end up going... That isn't a fault of yours. Your art is beautiful, and I can't imagine the world being better without you. You seem like a kind person, but that's just me going off of vibes... I came here because of your recent twitter post to express that I would hate for you to suddenly disappear. It doesn't mean you have to keep creating art; art should be something you do because it brings you joy. It's a shame when it gets stressful and is no longer enjoyable, and it hurts you in so many ways. Qia, a lot of us are also "the big sad" - please know you're not alone... But please, please, try to keep breathing. Do you have any pets? I don't know what life is like over there, but animals are one of the things that always make me feel a little bit softer when I'm stressed. If you're able to, I think it'd be wonderful if you can do some volunteer work with some animals maybe? The world is really hard and cruel right now. I'm struggling to keep holding out hope, too. But I am! I will. Even just one person who loves me is enough - but I also have a sweet cat to take care of, so I have to stay for her. Please, take a big breath. It's okay to step back from art. I don't know what's going on in the minds of people who don't consider you're a real person with struggles, but I'm sure there's a lot of people who don't mind staying subscribed through your break. Maybe you can offer some doodles and scribbles instead of full-on beautiful art pieces in the meantime. I don't know how your therapist vist went, but I'm so sad to know that shortly after your heart was heavy enough to want to close your eyes for good. I know it's hard. How is your health? Are you eating well? Do you have closeby friends? The internet is terrible these days. Young people filter in and their immature minds band together with awful ideas. I know you've been subjected to it before. I hate that that happens and you don't know what to do about it. I really think people who send hateful messages due to your art are just immature brats not worth paying attention to -- the art is not for them, it's for YOU to share with us. You should draw whatever YOU want to! The only time it's not for you is when it's commissions... So, it's so silly to me to ever harass an artist for their artwork. At least, you know, your kind of work.. Art that isn't, inhumane. I don't know what I can say, I don't know if you'll even see this message or understand it... But please be kind to yourself. Please try to eat well if you can. And I wish I could suggest talking to friends, but I don't know what your situation is like, and...talking to people following you for art, especially the "sexy" kind, can be so...weird. If you have no one, what about a pet? Maybe adopting a senior? If you're financially stable, at least. I know pets can be a big burden, especially seniors or disabled pets, but maybe...maybe if you're able to, you can try to push yourself to live long enough to see a new friend's last moments be filled with love, and see how you feel about that or if you've found anything you enjoyed or felt happy about, and try again. And again. Maybe make a journal of all the things that made you feel even just a little bit better during your day - and remind yourself of these things when you're feeling hopeless, and wonder what could surprise you? I know it's not that easy. I know the "big sad" could be for so many reasons and there's no one answer. Without knowing much, and without asking to pry... I just wanted to offer some words and ideas. Because I'd be so sad if I ever learned you had disappeared too soon from us. Not because of your art, but because I just... I know the pain. I know the feeling. And I hate to see it in others. None of it is your fault, either. It isn't. You're beautiful (inside) and you deserve to live, deserve to be happy. I hope so much that you survive long enough to meet a time like that, past this point in your life that seems so hopeless and dark. Please don't give up.

bleb blep

I think your art is good? I think you're just too harsh on yourself

Anime Recommendations

i genuinely love your art and who you are as an artist. i feel like its a bit out of your control whether your audience stays to support you monetarily cause of real life circumstances (me included im not subbed this month but i wish i was)

wasabisushi

Is there a way to send you a private message?

Arturo Soto Flores

Your arts amazing im just broke

Mr man 538

Even popular artists often have members that leave for good and still have financial struggles. Its not because your art is bad or not interesting. You just need a way to incentivise members to stay on for longer (aside from having good artwork) or find an additional revenue source.

Randomguy

Your artwork is amazing. I would recommend you to work less for the sake of your mental health, but I know convincing a japanese person to do that is almost impossible. As for patreon retention, you shouldnt worry about it. Theres a lot of buyers remorse when it comes to lewd artwork in general, since a lot of the purchases come from a heat of the moment sort of deal. Also, the USA, which I assume is a good chunk of your subs, is becoming economically unstable, and dangerous for lgbtq+ people

Joana

Your art is amazing. dont lose hope.

Francisco Perez

Economy is pretty bad all over, many love your art but have tighten up their budgets.

Chom Chom

Generally, might be good to check (if you haven't already) if this is a trend and not just some outliers before making large changes. Even if it is a trend it could also be, as many other comments are saying, unrelated to your work and just the general financial situation. Anecdotally I don't think the level of activity is the issue. You definitely post a lot more than I think any of the other artists I'm supporting. I hope that you find the answers that will work for you and am wishing you the best!

Gyuto

for me it's cause of money !!! don't think about it so much. I'll be back eventually trust me

saint

I'm guessing its much more incoming fiscal hardships for most than anything you're doing. You do wonderful work and put out much more on here than most other patreons and at immaculate quality. Trying my best to keep all my patreons active still. If I ever have to stop my patreons it's due to outlying circumstance and factors always. <3

IvoryMask

i think the people mentioning potential financial circumstances are right. it isnt a short coming of you <3

ceo_of_jessie

qorl no sometimes we just get too poor, we love your work (you post so much like omg do you have time for yourself???) we always come back when we can afford to 😭

Richard Fan

As someone who just recently ended their patronage to you, I can tell you that, personally, it's no shortcoming on your part. Your work is phenomenal and I look forward to seeing your new pieces. Financially, times is tough and as much as I would like to support you, and think you deserve it, I'm just not able. But I look forward to supporting you on here again once It's in the budget and I'm not pinching pennies. Keep doing what you're doing because what you're doing is making incredible art. The people will come.

Ryan

I'm going to add to the encouragement here. Your art is phenomenal. Those who leave don't think you're art is bad but rather for financial reasons. Just continue being you and don't sweat the small stuff.

J4Fusion

Well to be honest I'm a recent subscriber and your art is amazing so I'm extremely satisfied with the content I'm getting. Like some other people said, maybe some exclusive stuff would help.

MJ

I believe you are doing a great job. Having people come and go is normal in the platform. I think you should focus on drawing what you enjoy and on having fun instead of looking for a demographic to please. Your work shines when you can show your passion and the audiences you build out of pleasing a specific group tends to leave when they are not catered to. For example, only doing yuri to please a specific subset of people will work on getting them on but they will probably leave whenever you stop doing it as often. Take it easy and enjoy the process. You are an artist and not a drawing producing machine, so take care of yourself.

Omni, Nature’s Smore

I think you could change up what characters you draw. I personally don’t know any of the ones I see you draw which isn’t as enjoyable. Kinda why people hop to what’s popular for example marvel rivals

Cody94

It's not a personal thing, if people see an artist, or content creator, take an extended break they'll simply cancel or pause their subscription until they come back. Doesn't always work out that they will come back for sure but that's just how it goes sometimes. There's no fixing it or solving this problem.

Taylor

As most others are saying, the problem Is not the quality of your art, It’s incredible. Personally I had to leave for financial struggles. I think many people would love If you open up commissions. (I sure would when I’m stable again lol) Also I personally prefer the R18 works you do.

Shunk

What prevents me from coming back, is everything outside of patreon. Things are expensive, such as bills. So I think you losing people is because they are affected outside of patreon economically. As another person commented, I too would also look around my Patreon and cancel subs to cut costs. Now, I only have 1 Sub on Patreon left.

KR_Zero

At the time, you weren't very active or consistent. So I left. Shortly after you did become more active. As I have seen on your posts on X. You drew more R18 works, whether it be girls naked, yuri, or sex. Really loved the Belle works.

KR_Zero

> more active than most patreons I sub to *far more* active i would say. she posts like 3-4 times a week sometimes, while other patreons i sub to *maybe* post 2-3 times a *month*

Toreole

You are a very skilled and dedicated artist, and one who actively engages with their community on patreon, which is a rarity. I'm not sure to whom you're comparing yourself to, referring to artists that post less frequently but seem to have greater subscription retention. There could be a myriad of reasons that could be the case, and any of them could be valid. Even something as straightforward as that they've simply found/cater to a specific audience and continued to deliver the particular niche of content that the audience prefers? Seeing as you upload on a relatively consistent basis, often several days in a row, which is beyond what many others could achieve at your calibre, I don't think posting more is necessarily going to remedy the concern. It could be a money issue for some, or a distribution issue as a whole. As others have pointed out, it's easy for someone to sub for 5 minutes, and sift through your content and then unsub, repeat the process some months down the line. Much as we wish to doubt it, but that can happen, so perhaps altering the accessibility of your content might be worth consideration. Aside from its distribution, you could try doing more OC work for some time? Merely going back to look at the post engagements, those seemed to do quite well, at least, from what I can tell.

Rein_TB

speaking of background art, maybe an occasional SFW illustration?

Toreole

I wish i could tell you what it is, but i can say that from my experience as a subscriber, you are putting in a crazy amount of work (sometimes to your own detriment, i.e. hurting wrist, sleep deprivation and such), and the quality of your work is consistently high. If there would be one thing id have to say could be a possible reason, id say its something to do with the motifs of your illustrations? Like lately the 'what' and 'how' you draw is fairly similar between drawings, it is not really focusing on one specific thing (other than - for a lack of a better term - generically pretty women), but also doesnt have a broad range to cover various interests. Maybe try dipping your toe into doing some art that is a bit more fetish-y? (cough cough muscle mommies cough cough), just to spice things up a little, get people excited for what you might draw next, like maybe some light bondage stuff, some different poses or locations (but thats a lot of effort when considering backgrounds). just some more variation, allow your imagination to go to new places. you absolutely have the skills. edit: since a saw another comment mentioning broadening your set of characters, oh yeah absolutely do. the most popular place to start in that regard could be league of legends (shit game, hot women) for instance. that could be something

Toreole

Your art is beautiful so I don’t think that’s the issue. Have you thought making merchandise for your artwork? For example as others have said stickers, canvas/ posters, art books things that people would love to display. Maybe that could help to balance how much you’d make. I’d love to buy an artbook or poster of your art!

Alex Rodriguez

It's normal. It's what they call 'churn rate' at the business. Usually artists do commissions to compensate for it so if you want to balance out $ w/ art, then you'll heavily advertise commissions to break even. Other artists also do merch w/ stickers so there's varied revenue streams instead of focusing on Patreon subscribers only.

Polycarpus

Your work is amazing and high quality! I love your art style and it has a unique personality to it. I am not sure why people could be leaving, but you are my favorite artist on here.

Clockwork

Your work is amazing and high quality considering how often you put it out! I don't think numbers going down has anything to do with quality, I think it's just everything has been getting expensive for a lot of people. Sorry I don't really have a good or better perspective to share

Ryhan Imam

Also I wanted to add I would get my last of me food money (then eat my pc) to buy like your artbook if you put one out someday

TosieQ

Personally I would go to higher tier but I really can't afford that lately but one day... One day Imma make Qiandai the Richdai. Usually I just swap around my pledges on patreon to those artists that I think need at least a bit more support

TosieQ

I like your artwork, but I’m broke :(

Tao

Yeah not lack of skill I love your art I will say I do tend to keep art that can go on my wallpaper so more horizontal art if you know what I mean I just like having nice pretty back ground art personally.so I go back and forth on keeping subs at times depending on if I need to save as well.

Papi Kirito

Unfortunately I just can't afford it. Not a lack of satisfaction. Just that I recently got an apartment, and need to save where I can

Shadow

I want to remind you of something: You were shadowbanned on X for a long time, which understandably caused you a lot of concern. Back then, you had around 350,000 followers. I told you back then to be patient. Unfortunately, you probably didn't see that because there were just too many responses. Now you’re at 563,000. Your smaller account is also close to 150,000. Believe me, there are many small artists who would love to achieve just 10% of what you have accomplished, but they probably never will (myself included 🤷‍♀️). Trust me, there are people who have absolutely no chance.

Blazo

On my end it's because I'm for a third world country, so I support when I can but country's economy is rough so I can't do so all the time., simply no money.

John Doe

I highly doubt it's your 'lack of skill' or your style. You consistently rank super high on for example Pixiv and your numbers compared to others im following on Twitter are pretty good. I think, sadly, that bad luck is a player here. Now it might be you and the next time someone else. Also, the world is slowly becoming more expensive so people might save where they can? Maybe make your lowest tier a bit more attractive to aim for the people that want to support you but can't financially support you as much as they might want? This could increase the amount of overall Patrons maybe.

Crytica

I follow some artists, but I'm currently not paying anyone. You are among my favorite artists, and I would like to share the following with you: I've noticed that you post even more than you used to. On one hand, this can be a positive thing, but on the other hand, it might limit you because you may not have the time to develop further. Many artists only create one piece per week but make various variations (one illustration and then ten variants with sexual content; the image undergoes very little change, but a sex scene is incorporated). Personally, I would love to see you become even more of a brand. Books, prints, and perhaps one day having a sales booth at events. Draw a little less and use the time to learn something new. Try animation or do livestreams to grow even more. I see many artists on X, and they all have one thing in common: they barely grow after reaching 500,000 to 800,000 followers, which means there’s a limit on X. Expand your character pool. Draw VTubers from Hololive, for example, or even anime characters. In the end, it's hard to say what the reason is. Perhaps many people's life circumstances have changed, and they'll come back. Sometimes, you shouldn't try to cling to something you can't control.

Blazo

I don't think it's quality or quantity, your art is amazing and you are more active than most patreons I sub to. Please don't burn yourself out more. I think what happens is many people sub, grab all the art they want, and unsub to maybe join again a few months later. To fight this, I see many other artists save the exclusive art until the end of the month to distribute through DM or other means, so you have to stay subscribed to get it. I don't like this personally, but I understand why they do it to protect their income. For me, I have subbed to you for a long time and plan on staying subbed, I'm personally very happy with your content.

jlxp

It's inevitable that some people leave tbh, even huge artists lose hundreds a day and gain some the next Also trying to please everyone leads to sub-par results in general imo Juts draw what you like, you might lose followers but at least you'd know that the ones who stay are the ones that are here for your art rather than just a specific niche I wouldn't stress too much about it, tho you could probably post "Patreon exclusive" content and promote it on your other socials Taking the castorice art you just did as an example, only post that here and tweet something like a preview only rather than the whole image

Waffler

There's nothing lacking in your art, you upload plenty and your style is uniquely yours. I think people come and go because you don't have a consistent theme or category. Other artist I follow on here always have a consistent theme. You can add variety and experiment but at least one or two post a month have to stay related to what ever theme you decide to go for. Some examples from artist I sub to (pls dont judge lol)... One guy draws mostly only one character, different styles, sometimes sfw and some nsfw but always that character. Another draws all sorts of characters but with feet being the main focus. Another draws mostly vtubers but their niche is that they draw them TH1C af regardless of their canonical measurements. One makes futa versions of alot of vtubers. Basically with those subs I always know that I'm getting what I signed up for and give me reason to stay subbed. Find what makes your work uniquely yours. Maybe you can draw characters in a specific article of clothing (I've seen artist do a series of girls in bunny suits, lingerie, sweaters). Or a pose that you always draw characters in (Ringsel1 for example). Or girls with a similar mood or facial expresion (I follow some artist that always draw their characters angry or with a scowl even if the characters are normally happy or cheerful). Last one that comes to mind is drawing characters out of character (think gap moe) like drawing Mori Calliope or Shiori in extra girly clothes or kosekibijou mature and sophisticated. I might have a Hololive bias but it doesn't have to be hololive, just somehting has to stay consistent in the theme month after month. With the occasional artowork of whatever is trending on twitter that month. I joined because of the Hololive works you did but other than that I don't really check back often for non Hololive uploads. I stick around because I really like your art style and wait patiently for the next rare Holo drop lol. Only other thing I can think of is to participate in twiter art trends when they pop up to boost audience, and post more creatively censored teasers of your patreon works to lure people over. I'll stick around and wish you the best, your style is one of my favorites.

Chester

I'd restrict the amount of art placed on other sites. That would bring more value to the people committed to Patreon. Other than that, I really enjoy your art and will stay here probably as long as you're creating stuff.

Mike

I dont know about the others, but for me i just exploring patreon to see concept artist, OC or fanart wearing custom outfit they designed, also someone who's developing their own OC between their times doing fanart, since i was kinda tired with NSFWs stuff, coz there's a lot of them, i don't said it was bad, it just feels like... How do i explain it, "Like eating donuts with a lot of topping and drink tea after that" you can't taste the sweetness anymore, better to pause or eat something else first(?). . First time i was exploring Patreon, is to do research, since i was beginner artist trying to become concept artist and developing my OCs, i need a lot of research about others artist decision to draw, how do they developing their own artstyle etc, i sub to a lot of artist and too many, and most of them serve the same dish "NSFWs" 😥 and then im thinking, maybe i should take coloso class instead(?) welp its ofc more expensive, but i think there's more variety in there, . That's how i unsub some patreon, one by one, welp there's some i still sub into, but not a lot . . Please dont take my comment and opinion solely, and just use it for consideration, coz it's maybe different for other patron 🥹

Lucci IV

As for me, I had to unsuscribe due to financial struggles. However, I have to say that one of the main reasons I subbed it was for the Yuri NSFW art that you make. Of course, your'e not limited to only draw yuri and there's a lot of other fans who preffers other type of art, but considering my wallet problems plus the fact that you draws other types of content, I took the decision to suspend my sub... At least 'till my banck account recovers it.

Hououin Brian

I know i just joined recently but personally, i think your art is amazing and i think the bonus are worth it. Maybe those people financial situation changed and that is why they can’t support any longer, but i doubt it is because the quality of the work.

Victor

Art is amazing, nothing wrong with that. I unsubbed for some time because I lost a ton on money lately and I need to recover before I return to all the memberships and premium services. Another thing - there are times when I sub on a patreon for a specific reward, eg. there is a character I especially like. I think this is common for many people and you don't need to be concerned with that.

Sebastian

i think it helps a lot in putting the character in context and makes them stand out makes sense to enjoy drawing a character instead but those are my thoughts on it... you could also try gradients that complement the character palette or basically any way to not have the boring white background

Ac1d

Everyone’s gonna tell you what you wanna hear. If your goal is to grow in members on Patreon, it could just be fatigue. Im staying subbed cuz I dig the art style. But as an outsider, I’d sub for a month, see the character I like in something lewd, then a nude version on Patreon and that’s it. Few other poses. Just the same pic but naked. It could feel like there isn’t much more I’d be getting for my money. Maybe they feel it’s stale? I’ve unsubbed to others cuz they just put different facial expressions but everything else is the same etc. that’s my take but I still like your stuff and mean no harm. That’s all I can think to help

Aulie

Nothing is wrong, just some don't have the best financial circumstances 🙃

John

I prefer sfw as I am more interested in artistic drawings that is eye candy to look at, and not nsfw art to goon over. Just preference in the subject of the drawings you are mostly doing at the moment.

SupremeVoid

Well, to be honest I just really don’t like backgrounds and I felt better when I don’t need to draw them…

Qiandai以宇

To talk about your patreon, you are really active and with a great quality. You are actively involved in your community and listen to your fans. I don't think your work is at fault or anything, it's more about the context we all live in, what we want and need right now. And don't forget if you have a peak in fans, you'll have a decrease too. You are doing great and you should do as much work as you like. Do not overburn yourself and take care.

Fuu

I am going to be brutally honest here. I am one of the ones who left from patreon only (5$ membership). I really do love your work and loved supporting your stuff (still do just not economically) but then i realized i saw fewer and fewer updates. Then I realized i dont see the notifs for other membership gated works. Needless to say, my sub meant little to none. I also enjoy SFW stuff more than NSFW anyway so following you through socials was much easier and updated much more consistently. Maybe doing exclusive stuff for patreon not only as NSFW but SFW might work. I dunno. The new cosplay stuff might work for you for even more pricier subs. It is a low hanging fruit, but I probably won't be joining that tier. You go get that bag tho queen 👑

Overall I agree with most of what people said here Your art quality still very very good but maybe the quantity over quality is something that some people don't like and might notice that it reflects on your work Maybe also you don't make your NSFW enough Patreon Only making some people to just "Check the NSFW Twitter account" Something that could be very nice would be to sometimes going back to your "Old Art Style" for more detailled, stylised work (once a month doing that) and/or make NSFW Patreon Only variant That's some point I can think of if I put myself in the POV of someone leaving, else I don't really see and I'll stay suscribe as long as your doing beautiful art And also, try to take time for yourself, great artist consider that health is really THE thing that makes you do great things so maybe it'll help unlock the key to find a way for people to stay on Patreon

You are doing great. My example for myself would be, I want to support more artists but don't have the money to do all of them at the same time, so I sometimes switch my subs from month to month between them. So that's a reason sometime I have a sub and sometimes not. Dont know if that applies to more ppl. But art wise your art is great! I know probaly wont help but i think there is no need to worry about what you do wrong because i dont think there really is something wrong right now,for some ppl sometimes they dont sub long or its money reason in general for some.

Manuel Caster

I feel like this a factor

Bon

I think you should draw whatever you want to draw. You're the first person I subscribe for the arts because I want to see all variants and it always give me hapiness to see a notification from you 🥺 I also never share spicy art because I'm too shy to assume them, but I never hesitate to send the sfw one you post on twitter to my friends because I want them to see how beautiful your arts are !

Gabin

It may not be anything you're doing, honestly. Times are pretty rough in a lot of parts of the world and a lot of people are probably being forced to cut back. For me personally, I would prefer fewer illustrations and have them have fully rendered backgrounds and more complex scenes. Rather than more art with less rendering, no background, etc. But I wouldn't say you're doing anything wrong and I doubt it would cause an exodus. Try not to be too critical of yourself, as hard as that can be.

Tweedyrug

As for the NSFWs, they are great actually

Alfonso Viñegas

Yeah, I probably should do more exclusive works like separate R18 scenes and such…

Qiandai以宇

Yeh, it's only a few and personally I don't see a problem with it but that's the only reason I can think of 🤔 I guess maybe having patreon exclusive art might also be a good idea

IXeu

I personally love your work and would support you regardless. However I honestly think that the difference between your pixiv arts and your paid arts are not really that different? Also I noticed that your rate of production has really increased lately which I don't think is good for us or you. I think they're still quality work but I think you're getting too burned out churning out art like this every 1-2 days

Yang

You're doing great, from what I have seen. And you don't have to satisfy everyone to make them stay. That's toxic and might cost you your wellbeing. Do what you love.

Alfonso Viñegas

I am not a great fan of 18+ or nsfw works I prefer sfw.

Sebby Kwak

Ah, I see… I’ll do something about it then

Qiandai以宇

you have largely moved away from art with a background and i do think it's missing sometimes but im also fine with some art not having one i looked at your old art like the surtr stuff and i honestly like it more than some recent ones because of that

Ac1d

Well, I only posted a couple of them as rewards for challenges, but most of the works are still exclusive

Qiandai以宇

I love your work (cosplay and drawn). The economy really isn’t looking good in a lot of places right now though. I’m willing to bet this is the case for them.

steven

as someone who's doesn't play games from hoyoverse, I don't feel anything towards the majority of the characters you often draw, so I'm just here for your gorgeous art. bc of that, I sub every 2-3 months or so + Im being more careful wit spending money as of late

mauri414

Your work is the level and goal I hope to reach someday. Please dont let that get to you. It could be just a financial thing, or they had only meant to subscribe for a specific time. I had to lower my level for now until I sort some stuff out 😔

SopaMuyCaliente

As an aspiring artist I am really fond of Patreon-exclusive process works. The initial gesture drawings, the initial linearts, thumbnails of alternative poses, etc.

Moloc88

I am currently extremely satisfied with the content you are putting on Patreon. The daily uploads along with the quality that you are putting into it is not something I see on others and frankly it's insane that you are able to keep up that pace. The only reasons I can possible think for people joining & leaving are the following: •People joining to see what art they are missing out on compared to twitter and then leaving when they've had their full •Leakers (unfortunately quite common on big artists) •People who are participating in the character polls and not getting the outcome they wanted. The last point is the main thought in my mind why long term patreons might be leaving, as it can be discouraging if the option you vote for is never the winner multiple times, however there's no real way to please everyone. Please keep up the good work and I am looking forward to your return!

ScotterCB

I wish I could be a patron for longer I just don't have the money

Tikamin02

There are some artists I follow that publish full (lewd) works on twitter/pixiv, and entirely different works on Patreon. Maybe it's worth experimenting with that setup? It might be that people are just content with the non-lewd art and don't feel they get enough 'extra' from the Patreon?

John Freedom

I wouldn't put too much thought into it—though only you know the exact numbers at play here. (e.g. it could just be yearly renewals being cancelled) Personally you're not doing anything wrong, neither is your art getting worse/less attractive—I'd honestly say it's the opposite. You take care of us way too much, when you should take care of yourself sometimes too :> Every subscription service has its up/down flow to be fair—especially if it hasn't been a long trend, it's nothing to worry your head over ><

MDL

Their reasons for leaving may have nothing to do with you or your beautiful drawings. They might just not have the money anymore to support someone on patreon.

iffonox

Definitely one of them

hiko

Personally, it feels less rewarding to subscribe to your patreon if the only difference is nsfw/r18. I think doing a lot of patreon exclusive art would be good. But I’ll stay subscribed because I really love your art style ❤️

hiko

I think recently there seems to have been more of the NSFW versions which are usually patreon exclusive being posted on your twitter. Not sure if that's the reason but it's the only thing I can think of

IXeu

You are awesome. You do awesome work. You stress yourself out too much and just need to take a step back and do what is right FOR YOU. People leave, people change their minds. It happens.

ExiledBlade

in my case i just don't have the funds to sub every month so i just come every now and then to see the uncensored works =w=
