It has less rendering, but it's much faster to draw, since it only takes a max of 3 hours, so I can draw more often. I won't be changing to this art style, but I can try drawing more in it just to draw more, maybe even twice a day if I'll master it
Also, should I try drawing Ellen Joe in a sexier pose in this style or try drawing someone else?

Yes on more Ellen Joe. All art doesn’t need to be super detailed or time consuming. I love that you are delivering your message in less time spent, it is a skill in itself.

2025-01-21 17:42:59 +0000 UTCit still distinctly your style, so thats great. this could be something in between. some posts which you have a lot of motivation for, you stick to the established more detailed style, but then to just relax and doodle a bit in between to "relax", you can do some of these. but i repeat, do not force yourself to rush out more and more content. youre already doing a LOT.

At the very least, hopefully you won't stress out badly about how much time/ effort each piece feels and when you do bust out all the stops for a special piece, it'll feel that much more special!

It has the Qiandai flavor to it so don't worry about your style disappearing. Also this will allow you experiment with all kinds of new scenes which sounds exciting. Looking forward to seeing what you make whether it's with this style or the more detailed one.

Save the super rendered stuff for special occasions on a piece you're just really amped for. As for what to draw next, I'm biased in that I love Ellen so I can never have too much Ellen art :)

I think torturing yourself to output what is popular is going to bad for you long term. Especially it seems like you suffer so much when a vocal minority bashes your art. Hoping the best for you, and that our positive messages help drown out the trolls.

I'll always welcome the opportunity to see you do more art pieces, but there is a special kind of quality to the long render version. Guess it'll be more like an extra special treat from now on. 🍬

2025-01-20 23:14:28 +0000 UTCI think it's a good tool to have in the bag. Not every piece of art is going to feel worth a whole day or multiple days of effort. Having a level of effort appropriate for ideas that you like but don't necissarily love is great! That and it still looks beautiful IMO.
