The Mystery guy that had ordered the kidnapping was pretty clear when he gave the assignment to two guys he hired.

He wanted proof of everything, all of the intel that they could find on him, photos of their surveillance, and proof of step by step of the kidnapping. He didn't want the guys to play tricks on him, he wanted proof that Adam Parker was really the Marine that they kidnap, and that they're not working together with the amount of money that he paid for this job.

So the guys prepared all the documents, a few dozens of pictures they took while they're stalking the poor Marine, the Marine's ID, and the picture they took just after they got the upper hand on the Marine at the beginning of the whole ordeal. At the time, the Marine had already surrendered, and complying by the guys' demands. They first thing they did was to quickly secure his hands to the chair. As soon as the Marine was incapacitated then they could take a little more time to secure him even more.
