The picture was enough proof to know that his partner was really the one hogtied in the trunk of his own patrol car. These guys are not kidding. He's just thinking about his partner's well being on his way there.
One he's arrive at the location, he saw his partner's car with the trunk open and a squirming figure inside the trunk. Someone was guarding the trunk, and suddenly a few guys were coming towards him, yelling at him all at once, telling him to toss his gun out the window.
He really didn't know what's gonna happen next, but he just needed to do as he was told.
