We've been kinda tired
Added 2020-04-02 03:40:36 +0000 UTCHey guys, Chell and I have been just tired lately. Between classes being remote and among other things. I know I said that I was going to post a text post this past Monday and I feel bad that I didn't hold up to that. But here's what I've worked on so far:
Chapter 1: “Starting A new”
‘Shit!’ She breathed harshly as she continued to move her tired and fatigued legs. Weaving around trees and jumping over any obstacles that would appear in her way. She couldn’t keep up this pace any longer seeing that it was taking all of her energy to keep their attacks from harming her and making her immobile. She couldn’t believe they’ve found her, she couldn’t believe that they’ve succeeded in almost keeping them apart-
She ducked, twisting her body to the left sharply, slamming herself into a nearby tree so hard that she herself couldn’t help from wincing at the harsh sound of the sound the impact made. But the movement caused more damage than good as the pain finally sunk in, mixing in with the exhaustion and the huge developing bruising on her sides. She panted loudly, coughing slightly as she realized that she bit her lip almost all the way through to keep herself from making a sound. She turned her head, frowning slightly as she observed that scorched tree that had taken the impact of the attack in her place and realized that they were serious about this. They were serious about taking her down before she could accomplish her goal. They seriously want to kill her.
She gritted her teeth as she forced herself up again and pushed herself to continue the same pace of running. Trying desperately to keep her barrier around her mentally when her voice failed to vocalize her spells. She couldn’t stop now, she was almost there.
‘Please . . . . please almost there, almost there.’
She huffed, whizzed, and whimpered in pain, feeling her body beginning to reject her orders. She groaned loudly as she took a sharp right against her body’s protest, avoiding another blast. Sweat rolled down her forehead and into her eyes, forcing her to blink constantly to keep herself from tumbling down.
Her vision finally focused and tirely smiled even if it was a bit pained as the place she was running to finally came into sight. She gasped as she got closer, tumbling on the stairs as her bones and muscles were screaming at her in pain and suffering. She panted loudly as if there wasn’t enough air supply and she was greedily sucking up the last of it.
-BANG BANG BANG-
She used the flats of her hands to bang on the door repeatedly, tirely screaming out, “Morgan!” She huffed and coughed, blood from her bottom lip covered her chin and throat, “Morgan Please! It’s-”
The door suddenly opened, reviving a beautiful ivory woman, dirty blond hair dreaded, dark blue eyes staring with the coldest stare the women had ever received, dressed in a long dress that looked as if she would rather be wearing men's clothing then this dress. “Sunara . .. . . . What do you want?” Her voice is low and unforgiving.
Sunara frowned harshly, completely confused by Morgan's attitude. “Morgan . . . . Wha . .. .” She gulped slightly, trying to moisten her dry throat, “It’s me . . . .” She reached her hands towards Morgan, slowly reaching for her lips, “Your lover, your soulmate . . . . .” She gasped softly as she watched Morgan turn her head from her loving touch, “What happened?”
Morgan stared at the broken beautiful mocha colored women in front of her and sighed slightly as she took in the look of fatigue, confusion and fear. “Sanara . . . . please just stop this . . . . The covert will not allow us to continue like this.” She turned her head slightly revealing a small child staring up at Sanara in wonder and fear, “I have a family now, I’m happy here.”
Sanara stared at the child for a long time before slowly raising her head to meet Morgan’s cold gaze, “You’re happy? . . . . Without me.” She replied quietly, “You said you’d love me . . .. now and forever and you’re telling me that you’re happy living a human's life?” She raised her head slightly, hearing footsteps behind her, “Tell me this is a lie, give me a sign that they’ve fucked with your mind and that you need me to make things right again.” She blinked rapidly, trying to avoid letting her tears out. “Tell me to save you.”
Morgan stared at Sanara, “I’m happy here.”
Sanara stared at her in disbelief, staring into her eyes, seeing nothing but truth in them and felt like her heart had shattered in millions and turned into ash. “I’ve risked everything for you!” She screamed, feeling her self control slip within the whirlpool of emotion encasing her heart. “I’ve done everything you’ve asked for!” She fell to the ground, “I’ve surrendered everything to be with you just as you asked . . . .how can you-”
“I didn’t ask you to do anything, that was all on you.” Morgan's voice was so even, a stark contrast to the situation at hand. “You and I both knew that we could never be together.”
It was as if time was going in slow motion. Watching Morgan’s cold gaze cast upon her battered body, the slow heavy thump of footsteps approaching her, the light from torches slowly lighting the house of Morgan’s house. She panted softly, feeling rough unforgiving hands grab at her shoulders and arms, roughly dragging her from the front pouch of Morgan's home. She watched as Morgan just stared on as if it was a normal day with no care in the world.
The mob of people that were chasing her finally had her circled in, surrounded her as the people who were dragging her threw her to the ground harshly and forced her arms behind her and legs together and tied them with ropes they had prepared for her. Each one throwing rocks, sticks, anything that would cause harm to the women laying on the ground defenseless.
A man in black, black hat tilted backwards, stepped forward and faced the crowd of people, “Thank you my brothers and sisters, to see you all work together to keep this village safe from harm has warmed my heart and made me more grateful to consider you all my kin. Now that the witch has been captured, it is time for judgement to be placed upon her and her wicked deeds,” The crowd agreed with soft whispers of agreements and praise for the man’s speech, “I believe it is time to burn the witch!” He yelled in excitement.
Sanara was dragged harshly through the path she had taken to get to Morgan's house, dragging her through the muck and dirt of the forest floor, her tears fell uncontrollably as she stared into the night sky. She knew for certain that there was no way that she could fight them all. In her current state all she really could do is hope that death would be quick and forgiving. She closed her eyes, wanting to go into a deep sleep. So deep that the warmth of her mind would take her away from her current situation for a long moment.
Her eyes suddenly flew open, sweat soaking into her pillows and sheets as she tried to get herself under control. She pushed herself up, rubbing at her face as she knew that she wouldn’t be able to go back to sleep. No matter how many centuries have passed, the memory of that night from her past life rears it ugly head as a painful reminder. A hand gently laid on her stomach in comfort followed by a tired yawn.
“Everything okay?”
Sanara looked over toward her right, smiling slightly at the asian woman laying next to her, “Sorry Niko, I didn’t mean to wake you.” She rested her trembling hand on hers, feeling herself being pulled in the warmth of Niko’s body.
“Nightmare?” She rubbed at Sanara’s arm, giving her cheeks some much needed kisses, “You want to talk about?”
Sanara was quiet for a long moment before she began talking, “Do you know why it took me a long time to . . . be like this with you?” She gestured between them, “Why I just couldn’t . . . “
“Allow yourself to be with me?” Niko spoke softly as she ran her fingers down Sanara’s arm, watching them moving up and down in a gentle way.
Sanara’s heart trembled at Niko’s touch, heat began to travel from where she was touching to spread throughout her being, “You scare me Niko.” She whispered as if her voice wasn’t strong enough to carry her confession, “I’ve been hurt before and I swore to myself that I’d never let myself . . .” She took a deep shaky breath, purposely avoiding eye contact, “Fall in love ever again.”
Niko’s breath was caught in her throat, her heart thumping a mile a min, hearing Sanara bear herself open without her encouragement. She felt light headed, and warm against Sanara’s body. Her fingers moved towards Sanara’s chin, encouraging her to look at her. And when she did, she leaned forward, brushing her lips against hers softly. Softly kissing her over and over again. Pressing her body against Sanara, pushing her to lay down again with Niko on top. The sound of their lips filling their room.
Niko pulled back slightly, cupping Sanara’s cheeks, running her thumbs over them, “Fall for me Babe, I’ll catch you.”
(Enjoy this is in the mean time until I post the finished version.
