NYC Blog #7 | Movies for cheap

What I find interesting is that theaters in New York tend to be multiple stories high with a smaller ground footprint compared to most American theaters. It makes sense since cities build upwards. And since New York is so dense, there are several IMAX, Dolby, and 3D theaters to choose from.
But like everything else in the city, watching a movie in theaters is super expensive. A newly released IMAX show with all the fees can cost $35-$40 per person. To get around this, I have a membership with AMC A-List. Not too many people know about this. It costs $24/month and I can watch 3 movies per week (all formats, i.e. IMAX). Not a bad deal if you consider an IMAX movie being $35.
Maybe someday I can get AMC to sponsor a video. I’m writing it down here. Maybe it will come true.
