Creator Blog #1: Why start a creator blog?

Welcome to the first creator blog I've ever written!🎉

I plan to make one of these each week where I'll write about what happens behind the scenes of Urban Caffeine or perhaps any thoughts I have regarding my process.

But why start a creator blog in the first place? Since you are invested in this channel, you deserve to know more about it beyond the 5-minute video published every Saturday. This is a chance to have a better understanding of the channel inside and out.

Subscribers on YouTube only see the finished product. Most don’t have a good understanding of what went into creating that final piece. The same way a 2-hour movie can take up to three years to make, an 8-minute YouTube video can take 40 to 60 hours to produce. And that doesn’t account for the years it took to build up a baseline of skills.

But I also don’t want to write a book every week (and you probably don’t want to read one either😪). The aim is to give you a glimpse into what happens within those 40-60 hours of work to keep the channel going. I hope to keep it interesting yet not overbearing.

Feedback is always helpful and appreciated. So feel free to comment on this post, send an email, comment on the channel, or however you feel comfortable sending a message. Your thoughts are always welcome.😊

Salud,
Thea

Nice! My cats are named after their colors.

Small world: our cat is named Autumn. Obviously we found her in the fall.

Thanks! I truly appreciate the support.😊 The orange one is Summer and the grey one is Winter. They're siblings.

Looking forward to it. I understand how much goes into editing a video and appreciate it. That’s why it’s important to support creators even in a small way - if 1/10 of your subs kicked in the minimum it’d help a lot. BTW - my wife loves orange tabbies.
