"I've Come to Make an Announcement" Preview - Weekly Update 3/29/21
Added 2021-03-29 14:07:37 +0000 UTCVery weird update this week. Last night we had our patrons stream and I showed two new songs I'm working on. One was a melodic death metal cover of the "I've Come to Make an Announcement" video from SnapCube. If you haven't watched the original video, this will make absolutely no sense so I'm including a link to the source material at the end of this post. The long story short version of the original is that SnapCube made an improv, single take fandub of the Sonic Adventure 2 cut scenes, and this was the part that blew up from it.
The other day one of my friends said "I wonder what that rant would sound like screamed over a metal track" and I have no self control so I immediately made it happen. For the final video I want to do more green screen nonsense like I did for my Pumpkin Hill video back in 2017. Also in the spirit of the "lyrics" coming from improv, the music was also 100% improv. I turned on a click track and just started playing and kept whatever came out without going back to refine it.
