New Band Announcement
Added 2021-01-11 14:00:00 +0000 UTCAlmost exactly one year ago, one of my friends and I decided to finally act on our desire to make music that was fun to write and listen to rather than stress out over it. We are thrilled to finally unveil (to everyone here) our new band: Owlbear.
Owlbear is:
Katy Scary - Vocals
Jeff Taft (Adamantis) - Guitar
Leona Hayward (Skelator, ex-Weaponlord) - Bass
Owlbear is a fantasy-based, traditional heavy metal band in the vein of Omen, Manilla Road, (early) Hammerfall, Crystal Viper, etc. We will be filling the niche of reverb soaked vocals and bright bass guitar with our completed 10-song album in the second half of 2021. We are currently starting the process of making final recordings and getting a real logo that isn't just a font ripped from an 80s DND handbook so that we can start releasing singles and announce ourselves to the world. I will of course be posting any and all updates here on Patreon for you guys to see as this project continues to take shape.
The album was written by both Jeff and I, but this song is all Jeff for music and lyrics. I figured if you guys are here on this Patreon you've definitely already heard a ton of music I've written, so I wanted to showcase the other half of the writing input for this band.
