NEW REMIX - "On a Knife's Edge" from Octopath Traveler
Added 2020-09-18 16:00:21 +0000 UTCHey everyone, this month we're proud to release a remix we've been sitting on for more than 6 months, so it's great to finally have it out there. It's part of a huge compilation album that you can listen to in full on Spotify, so be sure to check out the whole thing after you of course like and comment on our video on YouTube. This remix also features our friend James Rushin who helped us adjust some of our chord voicings, added some great ambient synth pads, and performed a celeste solo in the middle of the track. The mix that is available for download to Katron II patrons and up is an altered mix from the one on Spotify because the mastering engineer did some things I wasn't a fan of so I went back and fixed them. Lofi is supposed to be muddy and dark sounding and they went and scooped out a lot of the low end that I intentionally put there before it was put on streaming services, so now we spent a long time waiting for a track to be released that I'm not totally thrilled with! Awesome! Oh well, we'll live. While I'm getting over this life altering tragedy, be sure to check out the rest of our content on Spotify and YouTube as well. I had no idea what a celeste was until this song either. We told him we wanted it to sound like a haunted toy box and he figured it out immediately
