So. Someone on the fanbox has been a very naughty person. It's come to my attention that the contents of the fanbox have been scraped/uploaded to one of the websites whose main purpose is to bypass the paywalls of patreon and fanbox and the likes of it.
Tell you the truth, I'm not really that mad about it. I'm no stranger to piracy when I was young and it'll be hypocritical of me to raise a fuss when it suddenly happens to me. But come on, it's not like I'm earning big bucks from the fanbox and I'm not, in any sizeable way, one of the bigger and more popular artists around. Besides, I was already planning on publicly releasing the older pieces before this happened.
Anyway, I'm just a little bit disheartened. The latter half of 2022 wasn't exactly kind to me already hence the reduced number of artworks I've produced. I kinda feel like taking another long break and just slowly releasing all the fanbox art as content until it runs out. I mean, it's already out and about anyway. Maybe. I'm still thinking about it.
So where does that leave the fanbox? Well since it's gonna get scraped anyway by porn Prometheus, I'm just going to stop doing any exclusive stuff in it. I'm removing the Y1000 tier and just going with Y300 and Y500. The fanbox is basically gonna be a tipbox now. Maybe I'll keep the early releases since those get released anyway. I'll think of a couple more stuff. Also if twitter goes tits up I was already thinking of just using the fanbox as the place to post updates since there's an option to post for all users. I genuinely believe that those who actually want to support me by pledging their extra money at me would still do it regardless if they get anything other than my usual output.
I suppose that's how it'll be moving forward. I'll send the fans in both Y1000 and Y500 tiers a message informing them of the changes to the Fanbox Plans soon. In the meantime, thanks as always and take care! Except for that one guy, I hope you at least stub your toe ( ยด ๏ฝฐ `)
