8/18/25 Weekly Update
Added 2025-08-18 16:57:31 +0000 UTCLast week:
Obviously I didn't make it to the Isle of Eros demo release last week. Sorry to anyone whose hopes I got up. But... I did get a lot of work done on the proofreading and debugging. I basically rewrote a lot of the intro sequence. (I actually kind of forgot just how much content I'd made for the game already. Seriously, there's a good amount of text in this thing.)
This week:
Presently, I've got about 10 more passages to go over (these range from a few hundred words to a few thousand, plus plenty of conditional coding and alternative text), and then one final quick pass just to check for any little things I broke while fixing the rest... It's almost certainly going to take me the entire week, but there's a slim chance I can wrap it up as early as Thursday.
To be transparent: this process is pretty grueling. Not gonna lie. Proofreading a game like this is intense and time-consuming, and honestly pretty tedious. That's why I've switched to this model of rough vs. clean releases. It keeps me from having to do this process quite as often, while still making stuff available for those who want to see it early.
I'm working at it as steadily as I can, and we're so very very close. Just bear with me a little longer.
Once the demo releases, I want to go ahead and let everyone know that I'm going to vanish for about two weeks. I haven't taken any serious time away from making content for a while. Absolutely not time where I wasn't dealing with work or family stuff, at least.
It's time for a vacation. I'll work on some non-smut projects and hobbies I haven't had time to indulge in. I promise I'll come back, though. I'm not burnt out. Just eager to avoid burning out.
