A Preemptive Update

Itch.io just got hit with the puritan hammer. It feels like this site and SubStar will likely be following shortly.
Just so everyone knows, I'm planning to keep doing what I've been doing, but this constant pearl clutching is 1. keeping my stress levels high enough that focusing on writing and game dev is very difficult and 2. making it increasingly likely that I will have no actual outlet for sharing what I create.
At any point, it could be made so that I can't get access to this page and the monetary support you awesome people have been sending my way. Money that helps me pay bills and afford things to make this all possible like writing tools, tablets/laptops/keyboards for actually doing the work, art commissions, publishing costs, etc.
I do my absolute best to not dive into this side of things here. Enough people are constantly talking about it that I want my page to be a pleasant reprieve from all that nonsense where you can enjoy a nice spicy story or text game. But I wanted to share this little post to ensure it's not a shock if I suddenly vanish. I promise it won't be my choice to do so, but this is a very awful (and frankly dangerous) time for NSFW creators. What happens happens.
If you want to do something to help, you can call up the big payment processors and let them know how this is affecting you and the creators you enjoy. You can call your government representatives (if you live in a region where that's applicable) and urge them to pass laws that protect content creators and customers from these types of overstepping crackdowns. Plus, there are loads of petitions out there to sign.
The truth is I'm so exhausted by it all. I just want to make stuff that I and you all enjoy, but those with the money and power have decided that's bad.
For now, I'm getting back to work on the game demo. Hopefully there's somewhere to share it by the time I finish...
