8/12 Roadmap
Added 2024-08-12 20:18:38 +0000 UTCAs I had feared, last week was still a bit bumpy getting back into the grind. What's more, I got surprised by yet another unexpected visit! I love having so many great friends and family wanting to spend time with me, but I need to get shit done!
Anyway, I've already gotten a lot of the math tweaking done, and I've finished 4 of the 10! endings to Grow Your Own Nymph.
I'm looking at another busy week of real life this week, as my day job has been recently upended and I've still got stuff to do that's been shifted around thanks to all the visits.
That said, my plan is, come hell or high water, to get Grow Your Own Nymph finished an put out to you awesome supporters by next Monday. That way, I can jump right back into How the Breast Was Won next week.
This mini project has been anything but after all. Part of that has been all of the unforeseen real life obstacles, but part of that has also been a wee bit of scope creep. The game is still VERY simple, but logistics have dictated several endings I didn't initially anticipate, and there have been numerous small problems in the game design that I'm trying to head off.
By way of illustration, here's one such issue I just solved: It was possible to just infinitely milk your Nymph to get more nectar. You wouldn't get much thanks to the math in the game, but you would get some. So you could just spam the "Milk" button and squeeze the poor thing dry over and over again. This past week saw the addition of a cooldown for the milking option, which stops that exploit and makes things more interesting.
I really hope you guys enjoy this game. I fear it really won't be worth all the build-up, but I'm not quitting! The next mini will certainly be more mini...
