16 hours on the road—and that’s even less than usual. Because of the war, transportation options are limited to either a train or a bus. Train tickets are expensive and hard to get, so I mostly travel by bus. Last year, I took a bus from Berlin to Dnipro—almost 38 hours on the road. After that, my whole body ached, especially my neck and knees, but there’s something special about these trips. It feels like slipping out of reality, distancing myself from all problems, getting lost in music and books, and, in a way, even finding some rest😌
It’s the kind of rest that leaves the body exhausted but somehow makes the soul feel lighter. On the road, with the gentle sway of the bus and the glow of passing lights, emotions seem to find their way out on their own. In these moments, I allow myself to be honest, to feel what I usually keep buried deep inside. And then the journey ends, I gather my strength, lift my head, smile, and move forward with renewed energy🐒
