[Goo Engine] GOO ENGINE 4.2?! | Mid-Month Update!

Hey everyone!

Thank you so much for the enthusiasm on our big Patreon revamp! We’ve been listening to everyone’s ideas and are using that energy to refine and elevate the tiers even further!

BUT FIRST! WE HAVE A NEW GOO ENGINE UPDATE!

Goo Engine 4.2 is now available! As mentioned in the video last month, we've been working hard to make it possible to update Goo Engine to 4.2 and beyond. And thanks to some hard work and gritted teeth, we were able to do it! This version of Goo Engine revives Eevee legacy into Blender, and uses it to achieve the signature Goo Engine render look. Eevee Next still exists untouched in Blender 4.2 (just beware of compatibility issues between Goo Engine and Eevee Next!). You can go here to download it!

Back to our latest Patreon updates, here's a quick list of adjustments we'll be making:

First, we’re pausing the Soul Mart Customer tier for now. Our current members at this tier will have the opportunity to choose if they want to join us at the Scholar or Apprentice Goo tier, and we’ll keep everyone posted about the future of the Soul Mart Customer tier. We have a lot of cool stuff coming down the pipeline with Soul Mart, and we decided it would be better if we revisited that tier when things are ready!

We’ll still have the live monthly animation sessions for our Scholar Goo and Apprentice Goo tier members! Mira will still be animating some Soul Mart silliness for you guys on September 18th, now at 8:30 PM CT. We’ll pin a note in the channel so you all don’t miss out!

Secondly, as part of this shuffle, we’re changing the name of the Omniscient Goo tier to Apprentice Goo. We think this better represents those of you who are taking your animation studies more seriously!
