A little progress here, and a little there

For the first time in the novel, we might use a random background with a filter on top of it...I just can't afford to commission new art for the novel right now. I added an extra part that was needed in the story to make more sense. In my head, it made sense. But it needs to make sense to everyone, so I added the extra part, and with it comes an extra background or two. We'll see how this goes, but at least you'll be glad to read that Chapter 6 has been fully finished in terms of writing. Around 12k words.
I've also started on Chapter 7. I feel like I need to put in more detail, both in dialogue and in prose. I've currently added something to the beginning of chapter 7 that exemplifies something I've been meaning to get to. As my work schedule normalizes, I feel like I'm getting back into writing again on a more constant basis. It's a good feeling. I am starting to lose myself in the story again. I re-read parts that I think can be edited and I push forward with enough enthusiasm to get more done. Things are going well for a change.
Let's focus on Chapter 6 for now. I don't know how long it will take for it to be fully finished, but I am hoping by the end of the month. If everything goes a bit better than what I expect at the end of the month to be like, I think you'll get something to read soon enough.
We're doing our best, but all 3 of us have other issues to deal with right now. I am stuck in my small flat on weekends and it's so hot here...The sun shines most of the day directly on my window and I have no AC. It's torture...I hope my financial situation improves this year so I can move to something outside of the city...I like the countryside's quietness more than the bustling noises of motorcycles and ambulances that I hear almost daily...
Things are getting better and I hope this is not a short phase, because I really want to get more stability in my life for a change. Let's hope for the best.
