1000 downloads!

19 days after the release of the demo build, Light My Way has finally reached 1000 downloads. You can see by the graph above how fast the hype went away. The first 500 downloads happened in about 6 days I believe. Then almost 2 weeks for the same amount to happen. The views (top graph) didn't drop like the downloads, but after those 5-6 starting days, things went down. I mean it's to be expected. There are plenty of other games popping up on itch almost on a daily basis. I hope that with the new build coming up the downloads will start up again.
I don't know if 1000 downloads in this amount of time is a good number. Maybe it's bad? I did think about this since, well, I'm only human. But in reality, that's not what is actually important to me. Having 1000 downloads, albeit some of them most likely being from the same people, is a great achievement for me.
I do plan on doing this fulltime, so slowly, but surely, the downloads will grow and hopefully, also the patreon count. We'll see how things are in about 6 months. If everything goes well, there should be 6 chapter by then and enough of the story to motivate more people to put their support behind what I do. Until then though, I will try to remain as consistent as possible and for now, I'll simply enjoy this evening being happy about the milestone I achieved.
