Andor | Season 2 Episodes 1-3 | Full Reaction

I love that these first three episodes dropped me straight back into the world of Andor without ever skipping a beat. This show always makes me forget that I'm watching 'Star Wars'. It hits more like a real living story of ordinary people fighting to survive while an Empire slowly drains the life out of them.

These first three episodes showed a constant theme of putting on a happy face while your world quietly burns underneath. Everyone keeps performing these masks of normalcy. Smiling through dinner. Speaking in coded pleasantries. Keeping appearances alive. All the while they are carrying enormous private grief and fear. It hit me how universal that really is. How often do we, in our own lives, try to act like everything is just fine and keep moving forward, when inside we're burning? Andor doesn't let us look away from that in these first three episodes. Not for a single second. It forces us to sit with the tension of those unspoken truths.

I walk away more in love with this show every time. You don't just watch Andor, you feel it. We are eavesdropping on the lives of people who've long been forgotten by the grand mythology of Jedi and Sith. I honestly think that's why Andor feels so different, so unforgettable. It's not about the spectacle. It's about the soul of rebellion. The cost of pretending. The cracks that form when truth demands to be seen. And now, I can't wait to get more into this Season. Thank you all for joining me!

Ahhh, this could actually make a lot of sense that Tay was interested in more with Mon. Looking at it from that way makes a lot more puzzle pieces fit together than simply 'you didn't say thanks enough so I'm out' I also feel you 100% on the Cassian arc throughout these three episodes. It felt really annoying (for lack of better words) to see him still stuck in the same spot while the idiots around him bickered for so long. But I totally get that it's just showing the pure chaos of the rebellion at this point and what that looks like. It's messy, frustrating, and chaotic. I hated that that happened to Bix. After everything the empire did to her already with the torture, then she has to deal with a sick dog. I love that she was able to defend herself tho. She's a tough lady. And I'm so sad about Brasso, too. He really was a real one and I'm so sad he had to go out like that. And that ENTIRE Syril/Daedra moment will forever be a top for me from this show. And that's saying something since I hate both their guts so much haha

Ahhh, that absolutely stinks. I will say Brandon Roberts did not disappoint though. It hits differently, but I definitely still heard those familiar notes from season 1 and loved it!

A lot of people take it that Tay is hinting he wants an affair with Mon. That that's his "price." I can see that. I mean who wouldn't think about that. She's amazing! But I still see it as mostly financial. He's a banker. So he's around wealth all the time, but is probably nowhere near the opulence he sees all his clients enjoying. And with his own finances going south he's trying to seize an opportunity. But Luthen's right. If they pay him off now, how will they ever be sure he won't just ask for more later or sell them out if a better offer comes. Poor Mon. Effectively losing her daughter and best friend on the same day. Yeah, I've got no sympathy for Leida. I get she's a kid and we shouldn't expect her to be emotionally mature, but that was cold! The only weakness in this arc was Cassian taken captive by that splinter group. I get the purpose was to show that the Rebellion is fractured at this point, but it just wasn't all that interesting. I guess they also needed an excuse to keep Cass off Mina Rau for a few days though. Poor Bix. Still dealing with her torture trauma, and then this piece of shit shows up. On top of that now she's lost Brasso as well. I guess stormtroopers are terrible shots except when they actually take time to aim. And yeah, Brasso was putting on a show to keep the suspicion off of Kellen there. RIP. He was a real one. Gotta say. Syril laying on the bed because he just can't deal anymore was so relatable and the highlight of this whole show for me! It's hard to believe that this show only gets better from here.

Bittrell couldn't do the Season 2 score due to some kind of scheduling conflict(?), but alot of his stuff from season 1 gets used, or reframed by Brandon Roberts, who filled in, and man does he land this plane well.
