From the very first frame of this movie, it felt like we were being stripped from reality and placed into a comic book come to life! Every panel, every movement bursting with color, energy, and heart. I found myself completely swept up into the chaos and beauty of it all but still tugged back to the origins of Spider-Man in such a moving way!
The MUSIC was incredible! It didn't just accompany the story, it elevated it. Every beat, every song choice, felt like it was speaking directly to the emotions of each character. You all know my love for music in films and this one... WOW. It made moments of triumph, fear, and joy hit so much harder every time.
Miles’ struggles resonated with me in ways I didn’t expect. As a mom to a 6-year-old, I felt that familiar tug of wanting her to never grow up. To never close the door in my face. To never think I’m embarrassing her, or to doubt that I’m guiding her in the right direction. At the same time, watching Miles’ perspective mirrored his father’s struggles in such a beautiful way. I loved seeing him step into his own power while carrying the legacy of Spider-Man! And all the baggage that comes with it. I loved that he found himself amidst chaos and took that leap of faith into the unknown. And the mom in me realized… sometimes I need to take that leap too.
This movie reminded me why I love storytelling so much. Because when it's done like this, it doesn't just entertain you. It makes you feel things you didn't know were possible. It opens your eyes and shines a light on the layers beneath the everyday motions of life. It shows the struggles, the growth, and the moments that go unnoticed. I loved this story for helping me see all of that, while still ringing true to the Spider-Man story and why we all love it so much.
And the idea that anyone can be Spider-Man? That heroism isn't about age, experience, or perfection? I loved that. I love how this story told us that courage, responsibility, and heart exist in all of us. Because it's so true.
