First off, I just wanted to say I'm so sorry for the hiccups last week. Between me accidentally choosing the wrong version of Aliens (I know a few of you even warned me!) and then trusting YouTube TV to give me a "good free version" of A Few Good Men (spoiler: I guess cussing is important to get the point across sometimes lol), it was a bumpy ride. And I know you all felt that. Despite all of it, I hope you still enjoyed my reactions! Going forward, I'll only ever buy or rent a legit copy and keep way better notes on versions and cuts. Thank you all so much for being patient and understanding with me. You all make this community feel like home even when I'm fumbling around over here. I seriously appreciate that!

🚀 Battlestar Galactica: After a lot of thought, I've decided to take a short break from Battlestar Galactica. I've been having to edit the YouTube episodes myself lately, so they have been falling more and more behind. This is also my first longer multi-season series, and I think mentally having a little refresher to pause during the fall will help me avoid possible burnout. I hope nobody is too disappointed with this decision. I just don't want to end up feeling burnt out watching a show that I genuinely love and want to give the best attention to! I promise when I'm ready to jump back in, I'll sound the bell. So say we all! ✨
📖 Hobbit Side Quest: Last week, I finally started reading The Hobbit! If anyone here is into Tolkien, I'd love to share some notes as I go. I'm not sure how chat works on Patreon, but I think I may look into creating a chat channel just for this journey if anyone is interested. Let me know if you'd be into this and I'll get it started!

Yeah, I think a break was a bit needed for me! I didn't want to get burnt out and this is one of the longest shows I've reacted to so far. With all the spooky movies this month, I thought it would be good to take a small break! But I'll be coming back with Season 3 in November :) Thank you for understanding!

While I enjoyed BSG, The Expanse is a much superior show in the writing and especially in character development (almost as good as LotR in this regard). The reason that it doesn't do great in polls is because the show originally aired on The Scifi Channel and then taken over by Amazon, so it never reached the broader audience who mostly watch mainstream channels. Having some knowledge of your tastes, I'm sure you would love this show as many of the top reactor channels already have. i would have to rank this show as my favorite sci-fi show and possibly favorite of all the genres.

2025-09-18 18:39:15 +0000 UTCIf you are going to watch all 3 top scores from the spooky poll. I would highly recommend that you watch Silence before 7. Even though not connected in any way, 7 is a step up from Silence imho. In terms of how scary it is.
