Usually, I use the g-pen, so I tried using a rough pencil. In terms of experience, I felt that I was able to be more loose on the lines since the lines themselves were looser. I also liked using the lines in a different way, especially for the lighter deatils on the body. However, coloring in the drawing afterwards was more difficulty. My usual trusty paint bucket tool didn't fare too well with the looser lines, so I had spend more time coloring in between the lines.
In the end, I don't think the difference is that visible unless you zoom in. It was an interesting experiment, but I don't think I'll do this again in the future.

i've seen that too. not as much from JP artists, but from western ones and it seems to work well enough.
