Added 2025-02-25 14:00:09 +0000 UTCIt's brand new podcast time y'all! The Jumpgate Podcast may have ended, but Vera and I aren’t done talking about sci-fi just yet. We’re kicking off something brand new series—FRAK THIS PODCAST, a podcast all about Battlestar Galactica (the 2004 reimagining). If you’ve never seen BSG, it’s a show full of action, political drama, and definitely no modern relevance whatsoever. Just a fun little space show. Nothing to see here. This was one of my favorite shows growing up, and I’m really excited to go back through it with Vera, who has never seen it and will definitely not continue our weird dynamic from Jumpgate at all I'm sure (if ya know, you know). Our first episode covers the first part of the BSG miniseries, with all of its numerous sex scenes and glowy Cylon spines. Oh, and we’re also going to start putting out a YouTube version of the podcast now. I’ll be sharing the first video next week, so stay tuned - but otherwise, the podcast feed version is below! So say we all!

2025-02-25 17:34:48 +0000 UTCI'm really excited for y'all to dig into this! As compelling a sci-fi drama as it can be, it is EXTREMELY a product of post-9/11 politics for some good but mostly ill. I'm really curious to see how y'all will approach the various themes with a queer anarchist lens. Can't wait for episode one to drop!
