I’m ok!
Added 2025-01-09 02:00:54 +0000 UTCHey y’all! I’ve gotten a few messages from folks checking to see if I’m ok due to the ongoing fires in LA right now. I really appreciate the concern, it’s really nice to know I’m being thought of right now ❤️ thankfully I and my family are 100% ok. We’re on the other side of LA and while the air quality has made going outside hard (and honestly given me low energy and a ton of headaches even inside), we’re doing ok and look to be safe for the time being. A few of our friends sadly had to evacuate and we’re looking into potentially temporarily housing a few of them if they want space. But since I had a few folks reach out, I just wanted to let you all know right up front that we’re all ok! Sending you love and stay safe!

2025-01-09 05:53:18 +0000 UTCI was worried about you, Ms. Gender. Tilly mentioned there were a few friends who had to evacuate, and I worried it might have been you.

2025-01-09 04:14:53 +0000 UTCSo glad to hear you're okay, and we hope it stays that way. We've got a lot of friends in the area and have been so worried all day long. We hope this ends quickly, these fires have already rampaged long enough :(

2025-01-09 03:45:51 +0000 UTCGlad you're safe! Maybe make a corsi-rosenthal box fan to help with the crap in the air? It's just 4 air filters taped together with a box fan on top

2025-01-09 03:35:56 +0000 UTCI second this. I’ve found N95 masks help when dealing with smoke. I’m also in California (but not the LA area) and we’ve had some very bad stretches with smoke from different fires over the years. I’m glad your family and you are okay, Jessie!

2025-01-09 02:35:01 +0000 UTCDo you have an indoor air filter? For fire season, it's indispensable. Also, purpleair.com or other website to monitor AQ levels can be super helpful. This isn't a one-off hazard and lungs are worth the investment.
