I can finally bring up the fate of Catherine Sakai! In one of the tie-in novels they Very Strongly Hint that Sinclair picked her up in his journey back in time and she underwent the same process as Valen. That book was written by JMS’s then-wife, so at least at time he said it was canon, which he didn’t grant to all of the tie-ins.
