This is still my favorite episode of Discovery and honestly one of my favorite Star Trek episodes in general! If not for this episode, I may have given up on the show after the first season. I really love how this episode lets the characters develop instead of just being about the plot. I love Discovery now, but my biggest pet peeve about the show is always how they favor plot over character, and when they do develop characters, it's only very specfic main characters. Also, I hated Lorca from the very beginning and didn't trust him, so I really enjoyed his repeated death scenes.
