Regarding the pacing: I think the nuance is that JMS didn't end up leave much of anything out, and fans would often speculate about stuff that should have been there but wasn't. JMS managed to squeeze just about everything in, but he definitely had to rush it a bit, and it is noticeable. I've watched B5...too many times. I've genuinely lost count. And Season 3 is definitely my favorite season. Season 4 has some extremely satisfying conclusions though. And I watch Season 5 because its there. Ok, no, there're definitely good bits of Season 5, and I do enjoy it, but it's only a bit about Season 1 in my reckoning. There's a reason you have a hard time remembering what exactly happened in Season 5.
