I think too much of the fanbase expects the franchise to stay as it was in the 90's. I'd say the irony if that happened would be the fanbase getting upset with stagnation all these years later. Why the fuck do people get in a huff about swearing when Picard has done his share?? Always love your humor, Jessie!

2024-01-27 16:53:05 +0000 UTCI tried to binge S1 during a Netflix trial, and couldn't get invested. It may have been my mental state, but at the time, I saw the emotional rollercoaster as cheap exploitation. Later, I saw the rest of the series the way Trek is supposed to be watched, (weekly, in re-runs) and it held together better. Thank you for this chance to experience the emotional depth that I wasn't ready to accept the first time. Go Boldly! 🖖🏻
