Exactly this! I spent my teenage years and early twenties thinking that there was something wrong with me, because no one ever talked about the ace spectrum.

I do not and have not seen Marcus as “saving myself for marriage” as much as I have seen him as not being an inherently sexual person but being open to it as an expression of larger feelings. I feel the same way myself and that doesn’t stem from any religious belief, just where I am in my life and my body.

Purely in a representation sense, he's the only character I've ever gotten to identify with. He didn't have any shame about not having had sex; it was said so matter of factly and I loved it.
