We're going to the Mines of Moria... wait... um... Mandalore I mean.

This in retrospect is where many of my issues with the shows plot were put forward before I knew it. I enjoyed this episode when it came out, though I was frustrated he arc they set up for themselves with the IG unit was resolved in a way that made the focus of episode one pointless, and that they resolved the bathing with the water plot so early on, stripping Din of a season arc and direction (which it only continued to tear down). While I liked Grogu having to get help, and seeing Mandalore, it was also the beginning of Bo taking center stage, Din losing any focus or development, and more, and I can’t help but look back and see the entire season like Din almost drowning. I stepped in expecting one thing, excited and giving it my faith for something slow and meaningful, only to be quick dropped into something else.

So far it's fun adventure. I saw the same time shortcut thing over and over again in Clone Wars. Another Star Wars gripe is all the giant monsters. They make for exciting fight sequences. But from an ecological perspective, how do you have giant megafauna without a robust ecosystem of smaller fauna to support them? A similar gripe is how do you have a stable oxygen atmosphere without lots of plant life to maintain it? You could get away with a huge ocean with lots of algae and seaweed. But how would that work on a place like Tattooine or Arrakis? Partly it's just the type of stories they tell, but Star Trek seem more believable in that regard. I decided to go back and catch up on Picard Season 2. So, live long and prosper!
