Jumpgate #51 - Dust to Dust

Everyone's favorite Psy Cop on Babylon 5 is back as the AMAZING Walter Koeing continues, with apologies to Chekov, his best role ever to amazing effect as Vera and I dig into the latest episode of Jumpgate.

I honestly keep forgetting that dust isn't called red sand, because Mass Effect SOOO copied it directly from B5.

Haha, I was always worried about Vera's take on this scene, because it does seem like it preps G'kar to, like, back down against the Centauri. But I think the show holds up its end of the bargain. G'kar fights like hell through the rest of the show, and does not hesitate to enact violence, but I think where this vision really comes into play is at the point Narn is finally freed, G'kar calls an end to the violence. This is what is delightfully complex about that moment. Because G'kar becomes a genuinely more enlightened person. There was an edge of narrow-minded hatred that he lets go of, instead favoring a bigger picture fight. He fights with no less passion. But like...it was such a blatant and self-serving manipulation by Kosh.

And yes, you are correct that the Shadows killed the Narn telepaths. We learn that in “Ship of Tears” this season.

Slight correction, you should have said G’Lan rather than G’Quan as G’Kar referred to angelic Kosh as G’Lan in the “Fall of Night”
