I just got around to watching/listening to this and I really like both formats (post-mortem and director’s commentary). Both provide different insights and expand the topic or conversation. Something you brought up that I thought was fascinating is how society tends to hold up certain creators who lead projects and leave out the credit for each individual who contributed. I know film criticism really leans this way with directors and tv with writers. This is something I’m always striving to get better at recognizing in my views and reviews of the respective mediums. Film school, film critics and awards shows really nailed the Auteur Theory into me. So I try my best to understand auteur theory but simultaneously recognize that it takes a crew to make a movie not just one monolithic figure. Anyways I really enjoyed this format and sorry for the rambling, haha.
