Sweaty armpits episode for sure!

I loved it too. The Changlings! A mention of Odo, even though not by name. So sad that we'll never see him again with the death of Rene Aberjonois. I too thought that Riker saying they were as good as dead in front of the crew was out of character and Picard seemed to be channeling the spirit of Kirk but we understand that it was because this is so personal for him. I saw Beverly's point of view about Jack but also Picard's because people can change drastically when they have a child and their child becomes the focus of their lives, and everything they said before about not wanting a child just flies out the door.

I really liked the staging of the moment in sickbay between Picard and Beverley; the literal and metaphorical distance as they faced each other (the widest possible distance in the camera field of view), and that moment of silence while they figured out words. CHANGELINGS! Great villains to resurrect - and I am here for any DS9 references. I wonder if a whole new generation (sorry, pun unintended) of viewers will go watch DS9 now because they have no idea who the changelings are. Sisko cameo? LLAP

When Worf said "How long have you been away from The Great Link?" I lost my shit! And it's not even The Dominion; it's breakaway, rogue changelings! I am shook!

This episode absolutely blew my mind. The action was on a level of the best of the Star Trek movies, the writing was superb, the acting was fantastic, and I was grinning from ear to ear every moment Worf was on-screen. So far with this season, I keep thinking they've finally risen to the quality level of "prestige TV" that previously was real hit-or-miss throughout Nu-trek. I think Strange New Worlds also hit that mark for the most part. (And I say all this as actually quite a fan of Discovery and also S1 of Picard.)
