I think episode 3 really helps TBH

Right!? She's fantastic

Loved Amanda Plummer's unconventional take and I'm really wanting them to go full cat-and-mouse through the nebula Khan style!

You know what I kinda love? This time, when Raffi went rogue, it was because she didn't believe that it was a Romulan conspiracy. Can we call that growth?

I agree with your general thoughts on this, that up until now, they really are able to just - sometimes barely - walk that tight rope. I really hope they'll be able to keep this up. And OMG, Worf! Aged Worf not only looks very good, but he really *feels* like you'd think an aged Worf could have developed in a sort of emotional way. A bit more mellow in a way, but you can also tell he is carrying some baggage with him that has shaped his views. Maybe not even a specific incident or experience, but there is something. I'd be curious to see more of him. And of course, the unspoken words at the end of the episode. I really appreciated they - like you say - trusted the audience. We know these characters, and even to new viewers I think it's clear enough that at least THEY know each other, so I don't think it'll detract from their enjoyment of the episode. But we'll have to see. I got really excited in the first few episodes of S2 for the set-up, and then.. well, we all know what happened. Still though, looking forward to next week!

When Riker said "Jean Luc, do the math" I laughed so hard!

Gillian Rosheuvel

I'm enjoying her a lot!

Good episode, but for goodness sake Picard- 'show-don't-tell', less of the exposition dump PLEASE. Plummer is an awesome (over the top) baddie :-)

Paul Jacques

Yes she does. She also does what the best villains do, which is make you badly want to see them get utterly beaten and destroyed. Great to see Worf. I wonder if this will be a pattern of one TNG character returning per episode. I count only Beverly in the first one since Riker had already appeared.

OMG! Amanda Plummer is having all the campy menacing fun sitting in her command chair and smoking space cigs.
