I loved what they did with Bix’s boyfriend (not Cassian being a competing love interest, that part I agree was unnecessary). He turns in Cassian thinking he can keep Bix safe by doing what the fascists want and it completely backfires. You thought you were on their good side? Nope! They’re going to come into town, brutalize your girlfriend, and shoot you dead when you try to help her. The police are not your friends.
