The tragedy of Viserys is that as a grandson who was not the King's direct heir, he wasn't raised to rule. He wasn't given the same education in governing that an heir would typically receive. That has made it harder for him to rule. Now he's creating a similar problem for Rhaenyra, who isn't getting the education she ought to get from her father. We saw that more in the last episode, when she was sidelined at the small council, but the way Viserys treats her is more than just a father struggling with a daughter; it's a king failing to prepare his heir for the reality of the position.
Also, am I the only one who thought Robert Strong's advice to marry Rhaenyra to Laeron Valeryon was the one person speaking political sense in the context of the way the Seven Kingdoms work.
Then there is Daemon, who is a madman and an idiot and I'm totally here for it, but it would have made more sense if he were in plate instead of half-plate.
