Oh, please do check it out! As another one of Gene’s lovers (or perhaps victims) Susan Sackett provides useful a additional perspective. We wouldn’t want to characterize Roddenberry’s framing of his extra-marital activities using contemporary terms such as polyamory, rather we might use the 1960-70’s terms such as “free love.” However you are probably aware that at least closer to Majel Roddenberry’s passing she expressed unhappiness with GR’s extra-marital activities and the terms she used were more along the lines of “affairs.” So it doesn’t sound as though these were mutually consensual arrangements. Also Sackett discusses such things as GR having “ever increasing bouts of impotence.” These are perspectives that we believe you’ll really want to include. Since you mentioned your Sex and Star Trek work and (you may recall we were the ones who called your attention to the Grace Whitney book), there is another extremely important book re:Roddenberry and sex that we really, really hope you’ll incorporate: “Inside Trek: My Secret Life with Star Trek Creator Gene Roddenberry” by Susan Sackett (available as an ebook on Kindle). We apologize for not mentioning it sooner but hopefully you’re already aware of it and making use of its insights.

I just hope you know what an important part of our lives you have become.
