JK Rowling's Anti-Transgender Stance & Hogwarts Legacy.
Added 2022-03-17 20:38:54 +0000 UTCSo, important message yall. So many of you may know and be excited for the upcoming Hogwarts Legacy game and it’s PlayStation State of Play event today. In another world or context, I would be too. It looks to be everything I ever wanted from a Harry Potter game. However, given its relation to JK Rowling and the harm she has continued to target against trans people, and her support of the damaging gender critical movement, Gamespot supported me in writing the below piece detailing the harm of Rowling, the gender critical movement, and it’s relationship to the game. I’m incredibly proud of this piece and hope it provides a way for people to learn more about how transphobia harms not only trans people, but all of us. Please, if you can, share this piece because it honestly means a lot to me.

I’m so glad Gamespot allowed you to write and publish this article because I think it is an honest thing we should be talking about with the respect to Hogwarts Legacy and JK Rowling’s anti-trans views.

Above the section heading "The false frame", the last line you write is "I did a long-form analysis of it on my YouTube channel", a phrase which is (correctly) linked to your video. However, directly under that line (in the mobile version anyway) is an embed of Contrapoint's "Gender Critical" video. I assume this is a mistake on Gamespot's part? The positioning of the video beside the wording does make it sound like you are Contrapoints. I assume it was supposed to be an embed of your own video. Anyway, just thought I'd give you the heads up! Now time to move on to the rest of the (really good) article 😊
