Star Trek Picard 2.03 "Assimilation" REVIEW & BREAKDOWN

I kind of suspected Elnor was likely to succumb to the injuries from ep 2 - it gets around having to hide his romulan appearance should he have survived into 2024. It doesn’t mean he can’t be resurrected should they fix the timeline, but it’s a clean way to keep him out of the main story for now. With Seven and the way she is dealing with not having the implants, I think they may be delving into identity as much as trauma as discussed. I did like that Raffi called her out when Seven realised people were responding positively to her in 2024 - she is used to being feared. I am looking forward to how that is explored.

I don't think Elnor is really most sincerely dead, but lordy, I am tired of live-action Trek consistently killing and/or mangling my faves. I'm gonna start taking this personal-like if it keeps up. 😛 Or maybe just go live in the animation block...
