Just another Thank You
Added 2021-12-28 21:36:05 +0000 UTCHey all, just wanted to post again really quickly a thank you for your kindness and support. Obviously, things are heated today in the YouTube sphere due to the Lindsay Ellis news, and I put myself into that convo with my video, and trying to do it vulnerably, opening and honestly. And while obviously there has been the toxcitiy, I am always humbled by how 90% of the reaction is kind and thoughtful. Critical of me at times, for sure, as it should be, but also caring. And I think that's in part to this community. Also, thank you for backing me here and allowing me to feel supported in being that vulnerable. So, I just want to say that I value this space and community. It is very much felt and appreciated <3. Despite the ups and downs of this job, to paraphrase the words of Spock, this simple feeling is what keeps me doing what I do.
I also said I may stream one or two more times this year, but due to the Lindsay Ellis stuff, which just the announcement of her quitting hit me hard considering the inspiration she had on me, I'm just going to take a full break for the rest of the year (outside of my already filmed Best of video that Lucien is editing and the Star Trek Discovery review). i want a clean break so I can come back with energy to write the Matrix Resurrections video I'm currently excited to start the year writing about. So take care and I'll see you all next year.

A friend recommended her videos when I was going through a tough time and i really enjoyed watching her intelligent but funny content. So I watched more and more video essays, which eventually led me to your videos! I am saddened and shook to see her go in this way. Your video has helped me to process my own feelings.
