Hawkeye "So, This is Christmas" - FINALE REVIEW

That Hawaiian shirt was a nod to a comic (though those can mean little in the MCU). Google for the cover of "Amazing Spiderman: Family Business". :)

I was surprised that they really brought Kingpin out of the shadows, being who & what he is. He's a lot like the Juggernaut in a suit. The Hawaiian shirt (*reminds me of g Deadpool's red suit/brown pants gag ]...it's Kingpin's vacation wear and signals to us that he seriously does Not have time for this is probably going to miss his flight to Majipoor, or where ever the Kingpin spends his Christmas/ New Year holiday. Which I think is a key factor in the sheer fact of Kate being able to survive. She is a clever and motivated kid, but he just phoned it in. Similarly, I thought it highly uncharacteristically beneficent to offer her mom a do-over to honor the holiday too.

I agree that Kingpin should have been introduced in an earlier ep. The outfit he wore was indeed a comics reference, he usually wears it when he travels to an exotic location outside the States. It was used in a Spider-Man gn a few years ago where he goes to Egypt. The way he's portrayed in the ep reminds me of the animated version fron the 90's cartoon where he was shown to hold his own in fights with the super powered characters. I doubt that he's dead, there's too much that can be done with him. In the comics when Echo shoots him he's shown to survive with temp vision lost. I was hoping there'd be an after credit scene showing this or one showing what happened to the track suits that got shrunk. Overall I thought this series was really fun and did a great job introducing Kate Bishop to the MCU. Looking forward to the Echo series. In case anyone cares the Jack Duquense character was the rouge hero Swordsman in the comics who mentored Hawkeye. The performance of Rogers the musical was so funny.
