i was going to be in a Star Trek themed improv group, playing original characters of a not-as-good-as-the-Enterprise ship. but alas, the head of theater we were organized through turned out to be a Major Creep (i won't get into the details, but the whole national improv community blackballed him).

I'm glad to hear you're taking an improv class. i started improv about five years ago and it's been great for me, great fun, great experiences, and great friends. i hope you love it.

I'm glad to hear you're trying different kinds of content. I'm especially excited for these big passion projects coming up. I wouldn't worry too much about "some videos doing better than others" in terms of getting more people into your channel. As I understand it, there are two primary types of content that a YouTuber makes: outreach content, and community content. Outreach content (e.g. your reactionary videos) is made to attract new viewers and appeals to a wide audience. Community content (e.g. your passion projects) appeals to your existing audience and is made to inspire and build engagement. I think you're on the right track by trying to do both, because you kind of need both in order to grow and maintain a channel. Glad to hear you're doing okay, otherwise.

yes, lean into the things that bless you. when you follow your passion the people will follow. 💗

Heh, I was out drunk on Halloween and here you are uploading an update, talking about working. You've been a beast with content even after talking about burnout, I hope you actually commit to the idea of taking a break sometimes.

I haven't been able to watch much YouTube the last weeks and it is really awesome to hear that everything is going so good for you right now. Sending autmn sun over from Europe! +1 on the new glasses!

There is actually a thing you can buy when you get glasses that help to lower glare. And then the second part is just making sure to strategically place you lights so they're not right on with the angle of your glasses and camera. It's a delicate balance at first, but once you figure it out, it gets secondhand. And thanks! I love these glasses Zelda!

Jessie Earl

Love your new glasses, how do you film without glare?
