What I Want In a New Stargate Series

Me too. I really do think Stargate can be relevant again cause it wopuld be nice to have an adventure episodic scifi series

(Late to this party but whatevs) While I really appreciate how the modern era of TV has really celebrated the way TV can do longer story arcs with more nuance and character development, I do really miss the weekly anthology series that can take a hair-brained philosophical or sci-fi set up and do whatever with it with little to no long-term consequences. They're a little weird to binge (I'm re-watching SG-1 hard on the heels of TNG and DS9), but I don't really think that's a criticism that carries any real weight.

I loved Stargate so much but also hate Amazon so much that I canceled my Prime account, so I guess no Stargate for me. Sigh.

I think most people don't know there was a movie and only know the TV show...that was different back in like 1999 but today I'd be hard pressed to find someone who knew that Stargate was a big budget sci-fi movie!

Ugh I miss Stargate. For me, it started my passion for other cultures, archaeology, and linguistics. That said, the way it was presented in the show was a bit problematic, but I would love to see that element of the series retained in some form. I would love to see what the universe looks like post-Goa’uld and Orii, but with familiar species coming back. Especially the Tok’Ra!!!

We always need more Stargate! I like the idea of a more episodic show where the Stargate Base/Hub becomes more like a DS9 space including traders, tourists, explorers and a full rogue's gallery of characters.
