One of my all time favorite films!

I know I've been gone for some time dealing with meat-world stuff. But I will 100% be there for this.

Troy Stull

I'm gonna wear my Galaxy Quest t-shirt!!!

Oh, I'm gonna be there for this. I.....never liked this film. I recognized the targets of its satire, but it felt like it was mostly punching down (mocking "loser"/basement-dweller Trek fans still living with their moms) instead of the more apt targets (obsessive, abusive gatekeeper fans who feel the need to prove their superior fandomness by tearing down newbies/casuals). Even the jokes about the aliens not being able to tell the difference between reality and a TV show fit right in there with the mockery of Trek fans making their fandom a major part of their lives, to the derision of the masses. The shots against Jason Nesmith/Shatner's ego and his poor relationship with his fellow cast members was far more apt. And Sam Rockwell was hilarious. Hopefully, I'll have more fun watching this with like-minded Trek fans. When I first watched this with non-Trek-fan friends back in the day, I felt incredibly uncomfortable every time they laughed, feeling like I was the indirect target of the jokes.

"Whoever wrote this episode should DIE!"

Hell yea, I haven't seen that in a while. Great choice! Alan Rickman was a treasure and I still mourn the loss.

Have you seen this? https://youtu.be/XT4gWFDR_w0 That's just an excerpt of low video quality, but on youtube you can buy the full version officially, and probably other sources have it too.
