EARLY ACCESS - How Shadow and Bone Integrates (& Ignores) Race

But one thing that didn't get a lot of mainstream discussion was how Shadow and Bone placed the burden of handling racism upon those who suffer most.

2021-06-09 04:36:02 +0000 UTCExcellent video! I had to stop myself from "but actually"-ing all over my keyboard for the first bit, but once your thesis became clear that went away. One quibble with the scene between Alina and Genya is that Genya has an ulterior motive for gaining Alina's trust at that moment, and protecting her from bullying and especially race-based bullying is an excellent way to do that, but I think your larger point still stands, so it is really a quibble.
