2021-05-05 00:14:10 +0000 UTCI think that the reason it works as it does (both the comic and the animation), is that, unlike your normal superhero comic book, it's about the life of the people with superpowers and the consequences of their life and their choices, similar to what the difference between DC and Marvel was originally.

2021-05-04 11:03:04 +0000 UTCI've read the full comic run of Invincible three times already and each time I find new things and little details. One of the best aspects of the series is that it managed to surprise me, even knowing how it all ends, and how all the changes work for the story and even improve upon it (taking into account the series started around 15 years ago). If you can, I truly recommend that you gave it a read. I know that I won't be coming back to regular/mainstream superhero comics anytime soon. Few titles can reach the level of writing in Invincible. And Allen the alien is by far my favorite character.
