Sending you love. Thank you <3

It took some time for me to find the spoons to watch this one with the attention it deserves. Well done! Thank you for educating me. Also, thank you for sharing the toll it took on you to be able to do it. All the best from Germany!

Frau Tiger

<3 <3 And I can attest that you are a wonderful human at that <3

Jessie, thank you for making what was obviously a very difficult and challenging video, it was so well done! I'm not a fan of labels because I find them so confusing and limiting, especially for myself. I'm 72 and have gone from thinking of myself as a (messed up, odd) Cis straight woman to a lesbian to a feminine/androgynous presenting asexual aromantic non-binary transgender person of the caucasian persuasion (That last bit was meant to be ironic, as I think it was President Nixon who made reference to people of the Negro persuasion. Dude, really???). I can genuinely lay claim to being a human of the humane persuasion. Other than that, it's all subject to change!

Thank you <3

I did get Alex's permission before I shared my story, but I completely understand your your point. Even with permission, I probably should have told it without including the dead name. I am the first to admit I am still learning and I always appreciate good advice!

I felt this video so much, it was tough but heartfelt. Thank you Jessie!!

Thank you. And oh boy, the "dream team" of Peterson and Shrier sounds like a true nightmare fuel...

Haha!

I never played DK64 haha, I only know the rap from Super Smash Bros haha but I'm so glad your wife enjoyed it haha

Thank you for being an ally John. And I'm so sorry that Alex and you had to deal with that. <3 <3 Also, just as an FYI, not as a judgement or anything, but it's usually best not to share a trans person's deadname (ie their name they don't use anymore) publically without permission. Tho, if you did have permission to share Alex's deadname, then no worries haha. Again, not anger or judgement, just kind FYI. <3 <3 And thank you so much for sharing this story and for likeing the video <3

And now I have finally watched part 6+ too and... yes. All of it. 😔

That one... was hard. And I image it was rather hard to make too. (Great production values nonetheless.) I guess I've seen a bit too much recently. Peterson teaming up with Shrier, these awful bills in Arkansas (first the one allowing doctors to just refuse to treat trans patients, and now that blanket ban on treating trans youth), or just the fact that books like Irreversible Damage have near-perfect scores on Amazon and the like. Seeing us as dangerous, mentally ill conspirators and predators is now mainstream, be it in US or UK, in media or in politics. I live neither in the US nor the UK, and I'm thankful for that. But the rest of Europe has always been following suit, albeit with a few years delay.

Every time I heard the voice you used to read the quotes of J.K. Rowling I was like "OMG, it's Dolores Umbridge!"

And on a lighter note...my wife grew up loving Donkey Kong 64, so hearing your Patron wrap that included her husband in it, she was giddy!

I know it was very difficult for you to write and produce this video, but I'm glad you did, and I wanted to share with you a personal story of my own. I may be a straight, cisgender male, but a little over a decade ago, I met the person who quickly became my best friend. I was a GM at a fast food place and He applied and was hired. He was born Amanda but was now Alex. He and I quickly bonded over Star Trek, of all things, and he was my introduction to transgender people. During his time working for me, I witnessed bigotry against him, from several of the elderly customer complaining he was using the men's room, to other employees just being assholes to him. I actually fired someone for.calling him Amanda and refusing to call him by the correct pronouns, and basically told the customers who had issues that they could get their coffee elsewhere if they didn't like it. My life has changed for the better just knowing him, and he is now even sharing a home with my wife and I. So, in your video, when you asked allies to the trans community to be vocal, to speak up, it hit me in a very personal place. I will always be an ally, to Alex, to you Jessie, and to anyone who needs me!.
