The Long Road #114: Shadows of P'Jem

The Andorian's (and the lovely Jeffery Combs) are back as Star Trek: Enterprise actually gets some continuity up in here! So let's dive into "Shadows of P'Jem" on The Long Road!

I like how this episode gave a little more depth to this universe; ANOTHER race, and we get a little more depth to the Andorians AND the Vulcans. NICE!

Another reason they avoided continuity back then was re-syndication; it was harder to resell a show into reruns if you couldn't be sure what order they'd be broadcast in.

hahaha, that is funny

I recognized Jeff Kober from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, where he played two different characters over the series. Which made me laugh because you mentioned Joss Whedon just before wondering out loud about the actor.

Indeed, it is fun seeing the Andorians and Vulcans as enemies at first

hey Newt, cuz i've got FAITH OF THE HEART. and I was late on the synch again (sigh) I love Archer's gentle humor too. How does T'Pol out and out lie, like a lot? Hmm, yes I think in this Ep. Archer has differentiated T'Pol from the Vulcan government, he's moving past his innate bias. - you put a transponder in my slop. You put your slop around my transponder! And the Andorian's to the 'rescue'? Andorian honor is satisfied. As for Phlox lying about T'Pol's condition, sometimes lying is the ethical thing to do. the ep is good, i really do like the lower stakes and learning the history of the Federation

another show that is mostly set on Earth and focuses on the space program is "Away" on Netflix, its good; has representation and tells a compelling story.
