EARLY ACCESS - SIX DAYS IN FALLUJAH - The Politics of Apolitical War Stories

Hey all! Here's an early look at Friday's video! I'm really proud of this one, but please be warned, it does contain graphic imagery, and I totally understand needing to protect oneself and not watch it, but it was about a subject that I really though I could add to. The early access will be available until Thursday evening, where annoying I have to put it behind a premiere wall for Friday <3

Six Days in Fallujah developer Atomic Games and it's publisher have both argued the Iraq War focused video game won't be political... or is it inseparable from politics? Let's explore the meaning of war stories in gaming actually means using Tim O'Brien's 'The Things They Carried' as a guide.

Oof. Apart from the phosphor victim images (that I unfortunately couldn't skip due to premiere stream) I think the quotes from Tim O'Brien were the most difficult to endure. Haunting, gut-wrenching.

This reminds me of a video I saw some time ago, by one Jacob Geller: "Does Call of Duty believe in anything?" Personally I'm queasy about making war into 'apolitical' stories (and games), because in my mind this glorifies war and 'warriors', but I'm very curious about your take on the subject.
